Some of these are our own recipes, and some of them have been given to us by friends and colleagues who live in the Mediterranean, or have spent considerable time living and eating there. You can taste the extra virgin olive oil, the fresh vegetables in most of or healthy menu.

This is a very nice and quiet family owned and operated restaurant. They have steaks, grilled salmon, a kids menu with burgers and chicken nuggets. I love their hummus with pita bread and fried cauliflower. Each entrer comes with a salad, a greek salad. Their Shawarma is the best, it is very very flavorful and so moist and soft, not tough at all. The rice is so delicious!!! I have been coming here for years and since moving away from the area I don’t make it there often anymore. But I took my granddaughters there last night and it felt so good to be back. They do serve wines and imported beer. The food is Excellent, the service is excellent, and the wait is worth it!!!!

This is our all-time favorite place for Mediterranean / Lebanese food and we travel a lot.  It’s been in the area for more than 20 years.  We have recently moved 70 miles away on the other side of Houston and when we come back to the area, we have to come in and get our fix!
The grape leaves are the best in Houston along with the gyro plate and gyro salad.  We also love, love the hummus and never skip the baklava!  If you live in the clear Lake, League City, or general area and like Mediterranean, you should try this place out.  You will probably kick yourself for not coming sooner!

My husband and I love coming to eat here. We’ve made it our Valentine’s Day tradition and we occasionally sprinkle in a few more visits throughout the year. It’s a family owned restaurant and I don’t know how many people work there, but if you go in you’ll most likely see only 2 people. They own and operate this restaurant. He cooks, she waits tables, and they run the place smoothly.

Recently, my husband and I introduced some friends to Mediterranean Chef as well, and they enjoyed it so much that we’re all planning to go back together soon.
